Julio Jones about the future with the Falcons: I'm out of there

The ongoing rumors of a possible split between Julio Jones and the Atlanta Falcons marked a major development with a single call on Monday.

Shannon Sharpe of Fox Sports phoned Jones while he was on air on Monday and asked Jones if he would like to be traded to the Dallas Cowboys, or stay in Atlanta.

I'm out of there, man, said Jones.

When asked by Sharpe where he wanted to be sold, Jones replied, "Right now, I want to win.

It is unclear if Jones knew he had been on live television.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that Jones had asked to trade for the Falcons a few months ago, and the club had already agreed to listen to the offers of interested suspects. So far, the Falcons have not applied for a contract, which is why the rumor mill continues to circulate against Jones. Jones made his comments Monday in response to a commercial request, although such a request does not guarantee that he will eventually comply.

Jones' response seems to indicate that he is ready to start over somewhere in 32 years. If it were not for sale, the recruiting team would have to have at least $ 15.3 million in the space available to take his current contract, starting in 2023. As of now, 11 teams - Jacksonville, New York Jets, Cincinnati, Denver, Cleveland, Washington, Indianapolis, Los Angeles Chargers, Detroit, San Francisco and New England - currently have $ 15.9 million or more in space of the cap, by Over The Cap.

Most of that team could complete the Jones trade and still have $ 5 million or more left in the air. New England, a hot spot after a busy season, would only have $ 600,000 in space if they did not move a player who has given them a good deal of contract savings.

There are ways to make a deal, but if we have learned something from what has been a process for many months, that hitting a big name contract is not as easy as making statistics work. However, Monday told us it was very possible.
